The spray insulation, composed of a blend of mineral wool and cement, is directly applied to the turbine casing to achieve the necessary layer thickness, resulting in high strength. A hard jacket is then applied on top to prevent oil and water from seeping into the insulation, reduce fire risks, and ensure the safe operation of the plant.
